PeruRail has daily train services between Cuzco to Machu Picchu and services between Cuzco and Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The train between Puno - Juliaca to Arequipa is not regular service
Hiram Bingham Deluxe Train - (Itineraries and fares) The Hiram Bingham carries passengers on a spectacular journey through changing landscapes, passing lush fields, colourful villages and the wonderful vistas of the beautiful Andes. Departuring from Poroy Station (20 minutes from Cuzco centre) the Hiram Bingham gives a more leisurely start to the day than traditional departures. Brunch is served on board and guides are present to explain points of interest en route, as well as in the Ruins at Machu Picchu. Afternoon Tea is served at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, located just steps from the ancient citadel. Vistadome and Backpacker Premium Trains - (Itineraries and fares) This service to the ancient ruins at Machu Picchu offers a spectacular journey in the Andes region. Andean Explorer - (Itineraries and fares) This spectacular rail journey begins in historic Cuzco and travels south to the beautiful city of Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. On the journey the train makes a gentle climb to higher, and cooler, altitudes. The first half of the journey is dominated by the magnificent Andean mountains which tower over the deep valleys of the meandering Huatanay River. It then reaches the gentler, rolling Andean Plains, where vicuña and alpaca can be seen. If travelling aboard the Andean Explorer, the glass-walled observation car provides the perfect opportunity to view the beautiful scenery.
